Release Radar Sync Problem between different devices

Release Radar Sync Problem between different devices

Hey there,

I love the release radar suggestions and i'm listening to them every week.

I experience the following problem regularly. When I dislike a song on one device, that is not synchonized to my other devices like tablet or desktop. On them it still looks, like i didn't do anything. Same is if i use bluetooth audio devices or not - that seems to count as a separate device.

When i'm playing music via Google Home device and i dislike a track on my smartphone, the song does not get skipped as it usually does when playing only on my smartphone or desktop.

Hey @Venesis84,

Thank you for your post here in the Community.

Can you confirm if the song you've hidden shows up on the playlist you've hidden it from or if it occurs on different playlists?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply 🙂

Cheers!

Hey there,

this occurs in my release radar playlist. i didn't try this on other
playlists yet.

What I discovered in this week is, that a song i hid from this playlist on
my smartphone shows as a regular song (white color) on another device, but
when I start playing music in random mode, the song does not get played -
which is correct.
So the system works correct, but in the playlist overview it's not
displayed correctly.

Hey again @Venesis84,

Thank you for getting back in touch and for your confirmation.

It's expected that the song shows in the playlist, but that it shouldn't be played.

We have a relevant team that's looking in to this at the moment.

If you have any questions we're always one reply away 🙂

Cheers!

Hey there,

a wise man once said that a picture says more than a thousand words. I made
4 of them to describe my problem. I took screenshots of the same playlist
from 4 different devices to show you how different they look.

Windows PC APP:

Web APP:

Smartphone App:

Tablet App:

So here you can clearly see that the synchronisation between my devices for
the same playlist does not work properly - well it works because the hidden
songs don't get played in random mode, but you can't see which songs are
hidden on some devices.
I hope that you understand my problem now and give this to the devs to fix
the problem.

Regards Tim

Hi there @Venesis84,

Thanks for the reply.

We had some trouble backstage which caused issues with uploading images to the forum, which should now be working.

Just to add some info in this thread - Hidden songs are currently not synced between devices, so you might sometimes see a song that you've marked with Hide on Mobile appear in a playlist on your computer. You can vote for this Idea if you'd like that to be altered in one of the next updates.

If you want to see which songs are hidden or currently unavailable for streaming you can turn on the option Show Unavailable Songs in Playlists from the Settings menu.

Hope you find this info useful.
