Remove download SHOULD NOT unlike the album

Remove download SHOULD NOT unlike the album

In the past removing a downloaded album kept it saved to your Spotify library. Now pressing remove download removes the album from your album tab/library. This is horrible for small artists, new releases and reissues.

No, I don't want to keep a ridiculous amount of albums downloaded. My phone has little space. I almost never have more than 20 albums downloaded, and I rotate in and out what is downloaded. Many other users do this.

This feature, from a user perspective, seems broken. This NEVER happened on previous versions. To circumvent it, when I remove a download, I now have to re-like the album, which makes the recently added filter now pointless.

Pressing remove download SHOULD NOT unlike the album.

Hi there

Thanks for posting in the Community and sharing your feedback!

I've just tested this on my iPhone and can see that removing a downloaded album does not unlike the album.

To take a closer look could you provide the below for me:

  • Exact device and model (e.g iPhone 11 Pro)
  • Software version of the device
  • Spotify version installed

Could you also double check there is no update available for Spotify?

Thanks!

Ran into this as well. I hope this is a glitch and not some new "feature".
