I don’t understand how Spotify doesn’t have this
if you have repeat on why do you have to keep adding songs to the queue why does it leave the queue after being played.
I should be able to listen to it again without adding the song to the queue again
Hi there @Siryji,
Thanks for the post. We've moved it to the Help boards.
The Queue on Spotify works as a temporary play queue, a bit different than other music streaming services.
If you want to be able to repeat a list of songs, you should add them to a playlist. This way when the playlist ends the repeat function will kick in and start from the first song again. This won't work with the queue, as each song gets removed from the queue once it's played.
Hope this info helps.
It would be really useful to be able to repeat the queue
persistent queue is a must, it's kinda counterintuitive to create a playlist every single time that I want to listen a list of songs
This isn’t helpful at all, and it shocks me that you leave the question open like this like you don’t give a single **bleep**. You «solution» obviously sucks. I don’t want to create a playlist every time I want to listen to two songs on repeat. The real solution is very simple, and you should report this and put it in motion. Embarassing.
Ew. Simply yucks.
This should be a feature from the beginning.
How its that not a option? Bro it should be since the beginning bro doesn't make sense to create aplaylist to listen to like 3 specific songs on repeat. Even music players do this
Hi @Alex,
I get that the queue on Spotify is meant to be temporary and that songs disappear once they’re played. I appreciate the tip about using playlists with the repeat function as a workaround.
That said, I think having a repeatable queue would be super helpful. Here’s why:
Convenience: Sometimes, I just want to listen to a handful of songs on repeat without having to make a new playlist every time. It would be nice to have the queue keep playing those songs over and over.
Flexibility: The queue is great for quickly lining up songs in the moment, but it feels limited when I can't just let it loop. A repeat option would give more freedom without needing to manage a playlist.
Expectation: A lot of people coming from other streaming services might expect the queue to work this way, and it could make the switch to Spotify even smoother for them.
I know you have to balance a lot of different priorities, but I think this could be a small tweak that would make a big difference in how people use Spotify. Is this something you might consider adding in the future?
Thanks for all the awesome work you do!
It’s really weird that you are the only streaming service doing this, it’s really inconvenient to your users
