Save Songs disppearing from Save Songs Library randomly

My Question or Issue

In all my devices, I have some Save Songs (with the heart) that are not saved anymore in my Save Song Library (heart disabled). And I did nothing about it, it's really random. There is a limit in the Save Song Library/heart enabled ?

For example, in another Playlist there is a song that I've saved long time before which is not saved anymore (see picture).

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

 

We've noticed the song visible on the screenshot you kindly sent us has more than one version uploaded on the app. Sometimes the artist or the copyright owner decides to publish multiple versions of the same content. They might look similar, but they might have different data associated with them. For example, take this song, which has this Deluxe version, These are different versions of the same track.  


This could be your case and that's why you are not seeing this track version heart. So, for starters, we'd suggest you make sure to go to your Liked Songs playlist and search for this specific song on it using the search option. If  you're on a mobile device, you should select the playlist and then scroll down. You'll find at the top both the filters option and the search bar:

If you're using the desktop app, you can go to the playlist and select the search icon that you can find next to the sorting option drop-down menu:

You can search for the name of the artist, album or song. You can also use the sorting options to organize your playlist, for example, by artist. You can search for this specific artist and see if the song is there. Give it a try and let us know.

 

To answer your question, there is no limit to how many songs you can add to your Liked Songs.

Thank you so much for your message ! But I think there really is a problem, because it's not other versions of my Save songs.

Another example of my problem : yesterday, when I went on my "On repeat" Playlist, there were a lot of songs that weren't saved (not with the heart) anymore ! Although there were songs that I've listened from Save Songs Playlist. It's really random and I don't understand why if there is no limit of Save Songs 😞

 

Hope I'm more clear, I don't have picture of the "On repeat Playlist" because I save the songs again instantly on it.

Thanks for your reply and for the info shared. 

 

This is odd behavior indeed, so we'd like to gather some additional info. We'd suggest you perform a clean reinstall of the app on the affected device. By doing that, the app can be up-to-date and you can make sure the cache is not leading to this inconvenience. Be aware this process will delete you've download to listen when offline.

 

If you notice this continues to happen after that, we'd like to check, can you replicate this behavior on a different mobile device? If possible, you can ask for the mobile device of a relative or a friend to open your account there and check.

 

Lastly, could you send us a video recording of this behavior so we can have a closer look at it? You can attach the video in your next reply in mp4 format, or you can also upload it to YouTube or Google Drive and make it public, so we can visualize them. You can add a new song to your Liked Songs playlist, close the app, and then open it again to double-check if the song was added.

I did the clean reinstall on my smartphone + PC 🙂
