Shazam stopped adding to My Shazam Tracks

Shazam stopped adding to My Shazam Tracks

My Question or Issue

Since I upgraded from S9 to S20+ Ultra, Shazam stopped adding songs to My Shazam Tracks.

I have:

-Renamed My Shazam Tracks to another name.

-uninstalled both apps.

-Restarted my phone.

-Redownloaded both apps

-Re-signed in to both Apps

-relinked shazam to spotify.

(In shazam there is not a slide button under spotify icon to confirm auto add to My Shazam Tracks)

-Straight after re-linking, I do see the temporary message population saying shazams will be auto added to My Shazam Tracks Playlist.

- I have tried to create a new My Shazam Tracks play list, but the shazam songs do not appear in it.

How can I duplicate my play list (700+ songs), so I don't lose them all.

If I have renamed the playlist how might it still be linked to my old phone or old Shazam connection?

Hi there @MRJ80

On another note, you can duplicate your playlist following these specific steps on the desktop app:

  • Create a new playlist.
  • Go to the original playlist which you want duplicated and click the first song (not the play button, you just want to select it).
  • Press Ctrl + A or Cmd + A, this will select all the songs in the playlist.
  • Drag the selection to the new playlist.

props to the very detailed descriptions👏 duplicating a big playlist on a phone is very time-comsuming because it's manual, doing on desktop is much easier, just select all (ctrl+a) drag and drop (or ctrl+c then ctrl+v) from one playlist to another
