My Question or Issue

I used the desktop spotify app to create a playlist folder, I moved a couple of playlists into the folder. Then after a few days when i checked my spotify app in the phone, all my playlists had been moved into the folder (not my me).

I manually removed a few. then again after some days i logged into the desktop app and it showed all playlists were out of the folder, but when i open it in the mobile app it still shows around 82  playlists still in the folder.

with the playlists not showing in the desktop app there is so way from me to get them out of the folder, soo soo annoying and such a weird error.

Hey there @PK01,

Thank you for your post here in the Community.

Can you perform a clean reinstall of the app? This will make sure there's no old cache files causing this.

It can also be good to try with another internet connection to see if the issue persists.

If that doesn't do the trick - can you let us know which version of the app you have?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Cheers!

Doing a reinstall of the app, worked!

Hi. This happened to me, and doing a clean install did not resolve the problem. Is there a new way to fix this?

Hey there @t_mccool,

Thanks for posting in the thread!

Just to make sure we cover all bases, could you sign out from the app twice in a row? As odd as this may sound, completing these steps should trigger a resync of the account info.

Should the issue persist, could you let us know what device(s) and operating system that you're using? Your current Spotify version would be helpful too.

Feel free to include photos or a video showing how things look from your end, so that we can have a look as well.

Let us know how you get on!

Thank you for your response!! I logged out and logged back in several times but that didn't resolve the issue. It still shows all of my playlists in one giant folder. I also am unable to drag my playlists out of that folder. I'm using Spotify for Desktop on my Windows PC. Here are my Spotify and PC specifications:

Spotify for Windows (64 bit)
1.2.45.454.gc16ec9f6

Edition Windows 11 Pro
Version 23H2
Installed on ‎2/‎20/‎2023
OS build 22631.4169
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22700.1034.0

Hey there @t_mccool

Thanks for getting back to us and sending us this info.

Would you mind logging in to your account on a different device to see if you see the same there? We'd also like to know if you created that folder, or it just appeared.

On another note, could you send us a short screen recording of you trying to drag the playlists out of that folder? You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
