My Question or Issue

I have several playlists that I've created on my PC with local files. When a file sync occurs to my Android phone, it seems as though there is no check to see if the file already exists. This resulted in there being 32 duplicates of each synced file on my device (see screenshots)

Hey there @mmeppelink20

Thanks for getting in touch about this and welcome to the Community.

Keep in mind that the local file discovery on mobile will show any audio source stored on the device on the Spotify app as long as the format is compatible.

if you're syncing the local files from the PC to your phone, the synced local files might get duplicated if those same songs are stored in the phone (even if it's the same song, they come from different sources).

However, you can store your local files locally on your phone instead of syncing them from the PC to avoid this behavior. You just need to follow these specific steps.

Let us know how it goes.
