Spotify stops shuffling after the first song

My Question or Issue

Everytime I shuffle a playlist, the first song will be played at random. However, the subsequent songs will be the song that comes after the first song. For example, if my list is 

1. Shake It Off

2. You Belong With Me

3. Blank Space

4. Love Story

5. Bad Blood

The playlist may start at Blank Space, but then it continues to Love Story, then Bad Blood, then 6, 7, 8, etc.

If you did and the issue persists we recommend that you perform a clean reinstall of the app. You can find the steps in this article. This will clean the cache and corrupted files from previous installations that can cause issues.
