[Web Player][Playlists] Allow Right-Click "Add to Playlist" for Collaborative Playlists

Solved!

[Web Player][Playlists] Allow Right-Click "Add to Playlist" for Collaborative Playlists

Right now, I'm in a collaborative playlist with my wife. I use many of her playlists that include songs I like, but I've found I can't right-click on songs in those playlists to add them to the collaborative playlist. Instead I only have the option to create a new playlist.

I primarily use the Webplayer.

Hi @Xoonaka,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community.

We've moved your post to this help board because it doesn't qualify as a valid idea.

Right now, you should be able to right-click and add songs from any playlist. Since this isn't your case, could you clear the cookies and cache of your browser and try again?

Also, have you checked from the desktop app to see if that makes a difference?

If the issue persists, please share with us some screenshots showing what you're seeing from your end.

Keep us posted.

I cleared the Cache and Cookies, but it didn't change anything. I don't use the Desktop Application and don't intend to for this feature. I've also can't figure out how to add songs to the Collaborative Playlist at all, I've been stuck using the mobile app to get songs added.

I'm attaching a screenshot of what I'm seeing. I don't have any playlists of my own, I generally listen to playlists made by others.

Sounds good. Odd that he tagged his with [Desktop] when he's requesting a [Web Player] feature... also not sure why my idea was considered "not valid" if there's another post with nearly the same request.
Thanks for pointing it out, though. Glad to know I'm not alone in wanting it as a feature and I've gone ahead and voted for it. There's a whole two of us that want it now!

Hi there @Xoonaka,

Thank you for your reply and feedback.

We recommend that you have a look at our Idea Exchange guidelines, for an example “Checking for existing ideas”.

We're always testing things by adding or removing features to make Spotify better overall and we’re constantly aiming to improve our features. We’re sorry that this means you’re not able to use Spotify like you wish to do at the moment.

Once again - thanks for the feedback, we appreciate it. Let us know if we can help you with anything else.

Take care!
