My Question or Issue

Anytime I use a website that uses Spotify data to show my top listened tracks of 4 last weeks, 6 months or of all time, I find the data inaccurate. The problem is, for the past 2 years or so, Iโ€™ve been listening to one song literally all the time, it hasnโ€™t left my โ€œOn repeatโ€ playlist for several months, I feel like I listen to this song more than any other song ever, but itโ€™s nowhere to be found in the โ€œtop tracksโ€ data. It might not seem like a big issue, but it really makes it pointless for me to look at those statistics knowing itโ€™s false and I donโ€™t know how many other songs are not mentioned there as well. I was wondering what might be the reason? Thank you

Hi there @22junior,

Thanks for reaching out. Third-party apps are outside of the direct influence of Spotify so we cannot guarantee how accurate they will be, this depends on the developers of the specific tools. Only Wrapped is something produced by Spotify itself and only there can we actually vouch for the accuracy of data. If you're interested in seeing personal listening statistics within the Spotify app itself, consider checking out this, this and this idea and voting for them and sharing them around to spread the word.

Hope this clears things up.

Iโ€™ve been messing around with MySpotiPie (spotipie.com) for my Spotify stats, and itโ€™s actually pretty cool. You might find it useful too.
