Why have songs in my playlists been dithered out and won't play?

Why have songs in my playlists been dithered out and won't play?

I have several playlists that I created and when I went back to use them in the car they appeared to be empty, like all the items I had in them were gone. When I logged into Spotify from my laptop, I see the items in the play list but they are dithered out and if selected will not play. What happened? I have several of them like that.

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community!

 

Could you try to log out > restart your devices > log back in to see if that makes any difference?

 

It's also a good idea to log in on a friend or a family member's device to check if you'll find the playlist there.

 

If everything works as expected for them, it's well worth running a clean reinstall of the app on both of your devices. It'll get you the latest app version with all necessary updates and fixes and will remove any corrupted files from previous installations that might be causing issues.
