desktop version of spotify won't let me save any new favorite songs

the spotify version on my iphone works just fine, but the version on my macbook won't let me save any new favorite songs and also doesn't show me any new songs which i have saved on my iphone. already deleted the app and re-installed it, still the same problem. i don't know what to do anymore

Thanks for getting in touch about this here in the Community. 

Could you let us know what exactly happens when you try adding a song to your Liked song on the desktop app? Also, does the same happen on the web player? 

On another note, you mentioned that you've already reinstalled the app, but would you mind going through the steps of a clean reinstall, as it's more thorough than a normal one? Also, when logging back in to your account, make sure that you're using the right login info.

If that doesn't do the trick, would you mind sending us a short screen recording of the issue happening so we can take a closer look? You can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor. You can also upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it).
