My Question or Issue

I love listening to audiobooks but they kind of scramble with the idea of song-related (virtual) libraries like hot-rotation, 2019 moste listened to, etc.

Is there a way to exempt audiobooks from being listed in those virtual libraries? e.g. the author of a bunch of audiobooks (each >200 "songs") of course is now my "most liked artist of the year" - which is a bit strange. And of course random "songs" appear on my hot-rotation, so I either have to skip or listen to 3mins of random audiobook-content... 😉

thanks!

Thomas.

Hi @binderth,

Thanks for reaching out here and welcome to the Community!

Currently audiobooks are treated the same way as "regular" songs. There's a relevant idea for what you're suggesting in the Idea Exchange here. Feel free to add your vote to it - it's the best way to provide your feedback for new features such as this one.

In the meantime you can try switching to a Private Session when listening to audiobooks. Anything you listen to in a Private Session may be excluded from your music recommendations, such as the Made for You playlists.

Hope this helps 🙂
