My Question or Issue

In my home screen there is a "good evening" tab that has your most played albums/playlists.

But in that same tab there are some albums that listened to for 5 minutes and there are several others that don't show up that i listened to for more time.

Is there any way to delete these playlists that i don't listen to out of the tab, or change them into a new playlist?

Hey there,

Thanks for reaching out to us and welcome to the Community!

Right now it's not possible to edit the content that you get on your home screen, but you can leave a +Vote here to support the idea for this.

When it comes to improving the content you get on that screen we'd suggest making sure that you don't use the Private session feature when you're listing to your favorite tunes as that might affect the algorithm.

If you're interested in how ideas work and how your feedback reaches the right teams here, check this page out.

Let us know if there's anything else we can do for you. We'd be happy to help.

it's so annoying having music that you barely listened to and don't want to listen to ever again remain on the Good Evening screen... why do I have to be constantly reminded of these uninteresting songs every day?

I agree.

O agree too!!!! This is horrible! How is that you can’t choose that ! Please solution to that

I don't know how many times you all need to be asked for stuff that should be "UI 101".  Your user interface ******* sucks to be quite frank, it's a horrible mess that we put up with because somehow Spotify got lucky and is ever-so-slightly less **** than Tidal and Qobuz.

Totally agree, if we can not change what we want to see up there, the function is not ready for production. So please, pretty please, with sugar on top..Get rid of it!!!!

Hi there folks,

Thank you for your replies and feedback.

In this case we suggest that you head to the idea that @Elena provided in the answer above and leave a +VOTE and Subscribe to the thread for any updates.

We're always testing things by adding or removing features to make Spotify better overall and we’re constantly aiming to improve our features. We’re sorry that this means you’re not able to use Spotify like you wish to do at the moment.

Live, love, laugh and listen to music 🙂

My homescreen looks like this:

1) Goodmorning/day/afternoon/evening

5 albums which I played months ago, some for 2 songs, some just for 2 seconds. They don't change whatever I do. Looking at the same album covers for months now. So the algoritme behind it just DOES NOT WORK.

2) Suggestions what other people like to listen to BASED ON THE NEVER CHANGING LIST ABOVE MENTIONED???

So every time I open op spotify I'm seeing garbage. Things I don't listened to or want to listen to. But they are there. EVERY SINGLE DAY.

now you want me to vote for an update on this malfunction? No I won't vote. I'm telling you this function sucks. Big time. Why? Because. It. Does. Not. Work.

Hi there @Le-BenZ,

Terrible "feature"

I had a bot hack into my account around three months ago, and play some albums and singles on repeat for a little over a day. I've listened to 4+ hours of music a day for three months, and yet the playlists and singles the bot played are still shown at the top of my Good Evening/Afternoon/Morning and Jump Back In tabs. The problem still persists into the desktop app and website version as well. It's just plain broken...

At least give us the option to remove unwanted songs/playlists. I'm tired of seeing this terrible music at the very TOP of my page everyday.

i gave my account to my friend he created his playlist and put his picture up now I have to look at his face everytime I want to hear music change this feature

Not able to edit the home screen is very annoying and disappointing

Would be really great if this was fixed. I listened to a couple of songs in an album several MONTHS ago - and completely disliked it. Now the album is shown to me every time I open the app - every morning, every afternoon, and every night. Seriously, that is extremely annoying. I listen to a lot of different music every day and still get the same outdated recommendations.

Here's the fun I'm having with this horrendous layout. A few months ago I ask my Google home speaker a question about mozzarella cheese. Apparently it misheard me because it replies, "Playing Mozzarella **bleep** on Spotify." I didn't let it play for two seconds before I told it to stop, but now this artist is pegged at the top of my app for no apparent reason. I didn't think a music app could find a way to be so obnoxious, but there you go.

Apparently this issue has not been fixed and it's been reported since a year ago. There is artist on my home page that I have never listened to and just like everyone else its permanently stuck there. It just sucks that over a year has passed and nothing has been done to resolve this issue. Honestly makes me want to purge my account and make a new one or just switch to another music player.
