why aren't my playlists showing for other people even though on public

Solved!

why aren't my playlists showing for other people even though on public

I have 4 playlists and none show up when people look at my profile. And when searching them up they don't show up for my friends when they search my playlists.

Hey there folks,

Thanks for getting in touch about this.

@Carter19, if you want your playlist to show up on your profile, besides making it public, you should add it to your profile. This can be done by going to the playlist > 3 dots > Add to profile. Additionally, based on the screenshot you sent, it looks like the playlist is still private. In this case, you need to follow the steps @Macarenajolie mentioned previously before adding it to your profile.

Let us know how it goes.

Hey @Carter19,

Thanks for the reply.

It seems that the playlist is still private, since we weren't able to access it. If you have a mobile device available, can you install the Spotify app on it and try adjusting the playlist from there?  Make sure you're following the steps here

If you only use your Chromebook and you're running a 2018 or later model, you can also install the Spotify Android app from the Google Play Store and give this a shot there (assuming you're currently using the Web Player).

Also I'm on chromebook

Hey Carter19

It could be you have accidentally changed your playlist settings to Private or Hidden. Can you share the link of your playlists? I can check for you if I'm able to open the link. To change your Playlists settings > Select your Playlist > Click on the 3 dots > Make Public.

This only works if the Playlist you are sharing is created by you. If the Playlists were created by another user, maybe they are not available anymore for public use.

Hope this helps 😄

Hi🙂

My recent experience is that playlists that are not actively listened to are harder (or impossible?) to find through searches. But that they are invisible in your profile -that´s strange..

Maybe one of you can make a video to show me how to do it if I'm doing it wrong maybe

Also when I click add to profile. It says playlists is now displayed on profile. So I don't know why it ain't working.
