My Question or Issue
All other albums & songs are working aside from one album where the songs are gray. The same album is working for other users though.
Thanks for posting in the Community.
What is the album you're speaking of? Could you share a link? We can then check its availability in your region.
Keep us posted.
Cheers!
The album is “Utopia” by Travis Scott. I have already confirmed that my friends and family have access to it on their Spotify accounts.
After further investigation I am not able to listen to any of Travis Scott’s music.
Thank you for keeping in contact.
To continue investigating this case, would you mind checking it on a different device (using your own account) to see if it makes any difference? If you don't have another one available, you can borrow one from a friend or family member to test it out.
It would also be great if you could have someone log in with their account on your device - such as a friend or a family member, to see if the issue persists. This will help us understand if it could be account-related or not.
Lastly, include in your next response the URI of one of the affected albums, along with a screenshot of the behavior you’re describing to have a better look at it.
We'll be on the lookout.
I live in the UK and Utopia hasn't worked on spotify account for me since it was released, it works on Deezer but not Spotify, its really frustrating, no news on google about any issues?? .
Hi @M_B83,
Can you confirm that you haven't accidentally blocked the artist on the mobile app? It's also worth checking if you have allowed the playback of explicit content in the app's settings (under Playback).
Let us know how it goes. Cheers!
I am having the same issue and now an issue with Doja Cats new song, wont play on the app. tried desktop and doja works there but no songs from Utopia will play, on the app most songs are grey and the ones that arent will not play. On desktop no songs are grey but nothing will play... i am about to go to apple music this is ridiculous.
Hey @peachypi3,
Welcome to the Community and thank you for joining the conversation.
The songs and the album you're mentioning are all tagged with the "E" icon for "Explicit content". It's possible that you've the explicit content filter active and that's why the music appears grayed-out or doesn't play. In this case, we'd recommend checking the Explicit filter in your Settings by following the steps mentioned in this article.
If the issue persists, include in your next response a screenshot of how the songs looks like on your end, along with the OS version of your device and the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating the case.
We'll be on the lookout.
The album DS2 by Future got grayed out suddenly even tho it used to work before, it was one of my fav albums, can you help me?
Hi @kennzo,
Welcome to the Spotify Community!
Is this the album in question?

If so, perhaps it's unavailable in your region at the moment. As much as we'd love to have all the music in the world on Spotify, the content may vary over time and between countries. This depends on permissions from rights holders.
For more information on the matter, it's worth reaching out to the artist or their label on social media or their website.
In the meantime, you can import local files to your Spotify library.
Take care!
I have the same issue with Drake. Any song where he's the sole artist doesn't play.
Clarification: Any song where he is the first artist listed doesn't play.
Hi @craigpulliam!
It's possible that you've blocked the artist, which prevents the app from playing any of their music. You can check that in the three dots menu of the artist page:
Hope this helps. Cheers!
The artist is not blocked from what I can tell.
Thanks for confirming @craigpulliam!
Could you share a song that doesn't play on your end? A short screen recording which captures the described behavior on your end would also be greatly appreciated. It's also worth checking if you have allowed playback of explicit content, like @OscarDC mentioned.
In case the issue persists, try logging out and signing back in to your account, or performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps here.
Keep us posted on this.
Hi, Yordan
I am also facing the same problem. I had been using Spotify premium for the past couple of years in the Japan region. And recently I have noticed I can’t find DS2 by Future on the app and the songs from that album are gone from my playlists. Is there an actual reason for this and is there any other possible solution other than using local music files. When I search the album name I can only find commentary about the songs.
