App navigation needs SERIOUS work.

App navigation needs SERIOUS work.

Okay I don't know how this never occurred to anyone.

Open up the app, hit an artist you like. You're listening to that album, so you go to their artist page and pick another. Maybe you like that so you navigate to a similar artist. Do that a few times. Now try to search or see your own music.

How do you do that? By hitting the BACK BUTTON the WHOLE way through your ENTIRE browsing history that day.

I use Spotify's discovery features. It's a reason I subscribed. But this is just stupid. I spend an afternoon browsing, discovering, finding music, and then I'm in the mood for something specific and I either just close the app entirely or keep hitting the back button over, and over, and over until I finally backtrack my way through EVERYTHING I'd looked at over the past few hours.

And that applies for the entire "home menu". If you want to change settings? Start goin' back. Want to pull up a radio station? Start goin' back. There's no way to just open that side menu from wherever you are. It HAS to be from the home screen and sometimes that's 20-30 pages back. Come ON.

I refuse to believe I'm alone in this. Just now I opened up Spotify on my phone and wanted to change the streaming quality (since I'm on WiFi). I had to hit the back button, I am not joking, SEVENTEEN times. That is ABSURD.
