We'll try to investigate this further. Are you using an Airport Express device? If so, from what year?

 

It would also be great if you can describe your overall setup.

Yes everything is up to date including the latest version of Spotify and
tvOS 14.5.

Can you confirm if you've tried the steps in the floated answer in the ongoing issue link you provided?

 

It would also be great if you could give us more info about your set up - such as speakers and ways you're connecting.

Yes I’ve tried it all.
 
I and others have provided setup info multiple times. Please look that up in the previous posts. Nothing has changed and I will not keep providing the same information over and over again. It is incredibly frustrating that Spotify has informed us twice that the issue is fixed and when users reply that it’s not fixed it goes unanswered. The only way it seems to get Spotify’s attention again is to start all over with a new topic for an ongoing issue.

one of the devices is an Airport Express. I don’t know the year.

I am having the same issues described by other users. When airplaying Spotify to another speaker, there is no audio out of TV speakers that the Apple TV 4K is attached to. 

Spotify version (latest)

Apple TV 4K tvOS 14.5


Airplaying to

 

AirPort Express 802.11n (2nd Generation) version 7.8.1

 

and/or

 

Apple TV 4th gen tvOS 14.5

 

Please advise on the status.

I unplugged the Airport Express from its power source. Same result. 

I have the same issue.

 

Spotify version 1.23.17

Apple TV 4K tvOS 14.5

 

No sound on HDMI airplayning to other spekers (AirPort Epress, year unknown, have four in my setup) from Apple TV. 

 

AirPort Express 802.11n (2nd Generation) version 7.8.1

We can confirm that we no longer support AirPort Express. It has been discontinued and haven't had any updates in a while.

I tried the following setup and there is still no audio from the tv speakers:

 

Spotify version (latest)

Apple TV 4K tvOS 14.5


Airplaying to

 

Apple TV 4th gen tvOS 14.5

The issue is still happening when Airplaying from one Apple TV to another. 

As for Airport Express, the AirPort Express 802.11n (2nd Generation) supports Airplay 2, and other Apple TV apps can Airplay to the Express and still have audio from the TV speakers.

But it all works fine on the Air Port Expresses. I can  listen to Spotify on my four devices with a charm util I try to output the sound on the local HDMI interface on the Apple TV. 

It works with HBO, Netflix, Telia TV…. But not the Spotify app.  

 

No, it doesn’t shine any light on the situation because I already replied I disconnected the Airport Express and issue still occurs with other Airplay 2 capable speakers/devices.

I have exactly the same issue. I have 4 Apple TVs in 4 different rooms. All updated and the Spotify app reinstalled.

 

Spotify Apple TV Version: 1.23.17

Apple TV OS Version: tvOS 14.5 (18L204)

 

Streaming Spotify over AirPlay2 from any one of the 4 Apple TVs to any of the other 3 stops the sound on the source Apple TV. I.e. The speakers connected via HDMI to the the source AppleTV.

 

This has nothing to do with Apple Airport Express (I don't even own one).

 

Please could you look into this and fix it? It's clearly been a problem for months now, and honestly the replies are simply disrespecting the users by simply failing to acknowledge the issue and fix it.

 

AirPlaying from any of the 4 Apple TVs to any of the other 3 works with any other app (Netflix, Disney+, BBC, etc...).

 

Please Spotify acknowledge this issue and fix it.
