Apple Watch - Downloads. Please confirm functionality

Solved!

Apple Watch - Downloads. Please confirm functionality

Hi can I get clarity on how the downloaded songs function works on the Apple Watch. If I have playlists with over 100 songs it will download up to 100 songs.

however on playback if I want to play the full playlist and happy for it to use cellular to stream songs that are not downloaded is that possible. If so how?

when i go to my play lists I can make a selection and select downloads. Once selected will this only play the downloaded songs only an inversely if not selected will it play all songs in the playlist?

Thanks

Hey there @alosurdo,

Thanks for reaching out via the Community with this question about listening on Apple Watch 🙂

If you go to Your Library > Downloads it will display only the content that you've downloaded and your listening will be limited to it.

However, if you instead go to Your Library > Playlists and select the desired playlist, it will display all of the tracks in it (not only the downloads which are marked with a green arrow) and you should be able to stream all of them.

Here's an article about Spotify on Apple Watch that you can check out if you'd like.

Hope this helped clear things up and we're here if you've got any other questions.
