Artist, Song, and Album radio error

My Question or Issue

Hello,

I have noticed that certain artists and songs are unable to start radios based off of them. I receive an error message saying "This playlist isn't available, The owner of this playlist has made it private or removed it from Spotify. <back />"

I then followed your instructions to offload and delete the app and ran a clean install. The problem persists, however, the error message is slightly different. "This playlist was deleted, Remove the link from your library? <remove />". This does not affect all radios, certain artists, track, and album radios work just fine. I don't know if this is related, but I am having a similar issue on my MacBook Pro (see here).

Hi @ryandub9! Welcome to the Community!

I made some tests on my end here and I can see the same errors when I try to go to the Artist radio, however, I was giving a look at this Artist content and I can't see any playlist radio available on the artist's page, that's why you can't go to the playlist radio.

That's may not be the case, but sometimes availability can vary over time and between countries, depending on the permissions from rights holders. You can read more about it here.

Thanks for reaching out.

Just jumping in to add something to what @MateusM mentioned. Keep in mind that in order to generate a radio, the app needs to have sufficient data on related music. If this isn't the case we'd recommend making a playlist of the artist in question and mixing in tracks from other artists that are able to generate a radio. You can then start one based on the new playlist.
