Artists not showing up on following count

My Question or Issue

I have just downloaded Spotify and made a new account but I’ve noticed that my followed artists don’t show up in my following count on my profile, only the friends I am following show up in the number. This appears as the count everywhere on all devices so reinstalling doesn’t help. I was wondering why this is and if I’m actually following these artists or if there is something wrong with my profile.

Hey! Had a quick look at mine and they do. You mention you have a new account. If you've followed all of them, could it be that it needs a bit to connect and update the info server-side? Like, if you're not in an area with good internet coverage. Or, something else that pops into mind, it could be some sort of an A/B test - this is very common for different parts of the app to be different as part of testing.

Hey, I’m having the same exact issue with my new account. I only followed three artists’/one person’s profiles and left it overnight with good internet connection but it’s still saying I'm only following one person. Is it safe to assume that it’s the testing you mentioned? Thank you!
