Blend UI is too tall for my iPhone

My Question or Issue

When I click the new "Create a Blend" button, on the next screen the Invite button at the bottom is hidden by the bar that shows the currently playing track and the menu buttons (Home/Search/Library). I can't scroll down to get to the button. I think it was designed for a taller screen.

I have the same issue when trying to accept a Blend someone else has invited me to.

by making my text as small as possible and then logging out of the app and logging back in again to clear the currently playing song/queue, i was able to click invite.

Hey there @xdhmoore,

Thanks for the post.

We are excited to see our users playing around with our new beta product Blend.

We've forwarded your feedback on to the developer teams 🙂 Since Blend is still in testing, we can't say for sure when this will be fixed.

For the time being, you can try resizing your phone's text size. This also changes the size of fonts and windows on most phones.

Hope this info helps 🙂

My Question or Issue

Im trying to use the new Blend feature but I can’t see the Invite button due to the Now Playing bar that’s constantly at the bottom of the screen. See image attached. Is there any way of removing the bar so I can use?

Hey @alpinemonkey,

Thanks for posting here 🙂

Could you restart your device, log out and log back in again to check if anything changes?

If nothing changes, could you try with another account on the same device to see if that makes a difference?

Let us know how it goes.

Also having this problem on iPhone SE.

Hey @Ver,

This is an issue with small screen devices, it is not scrollable unfortunately. The view here just needs a scroll to be added.

Maybe you could bump it to the right team so it could be fixed?

Thank you!

Yep - resetting etc doesn’t work. On my device, which has a small screen, if you are, or have been, playing music then the Invite button can’t be accessed.

Hey @Loxer and @alpinemonkey,

Thanks for the info 🙂

We merged this thread with another one and passed your info on to the right team so they can investigate this further.

We'll keep you posted here once we have more info.

Hey folks,

Thanks for your patience while we've been looking into this.

The following steps should help you invite and accept Blends. In you changed any of your text-size settings, resetting them should allow you to see the buttons as intended. To do so go to your iPhone's Settings > Accessibility > Display and Text Size > Larger Text

Then disable the option. Tests have shown this resolves the issue, however you can also try changing the text size to see if there're a better option for your device.

Of course, after you're done and accepted the Blend, you can restore the text size to your preferred size.

Our Blend team will continue to work on improving the experience in the future, but we hope this will be useful for you for the time being.

Cheers!
