Can not hear e-mail notifications when running spotify

Hi guys, Just upgraded to Spotify premium, just having an issue that I was hoping someone could help with. I have a coffee bar that has a preorder system (done via e-mails) We have spotify running on an ipad which we also use for our Point of Sale software (vend) and our e-mail orders. However with spotify running we no longer hear any noises when an e-mail comes in. Spotify fades a bit, but when we are under the pump we bearly notice that, what we really need is the notification sound from the e-mails to cut over spotify. Any ideas would be appreciated Kind regards Aaron

Unfortunately, I don't know that you can play them in tandem. Spotify doesn't have a feature that quiets itself for system notifications as most users would find that annoying.
