Can't enter my last.fm credentials

A few days ago I reinstalled Spotify on my iPad as I had that bug where the music cuts out every 7 or 8 songs (we've had this bug at work too). This appears to have fixed that problem but now I can't scrobble to last.fm as it won't let me enter my last.fm credentials on the social tab. Basically, I can't get the keyboard to stay visible for more than half a second so I can't type anything. I've had a look at some threads here and this seems to have been a problem back in 2013 on Android but now it's back and affecting the iPad. I've tried several reinstalls but nothing seems to work. Is there a fix for this in the pipeline?

If you turn the ipad portrait, it stops the keyboard going away. Doesn't fix it, but gets around the problem.
