Can't get Local files to appear on iPhone

I'm having trouble getting my local files to appear on my iphone. I've done the whole creating a playlist with local files in them to dowload, but when I go to downlod them on to my iphone, some of the songs straight up don't appear?? They're not grey, or pending download or anything, theyre just not there at all? But when I look at the playlist on my desktop the songs are there, and I can play them and listen to them on the desktop. I've even dowloaded them on to the desktop, but I can't figure out how to make the songs appear on my iphone. My phone is connected to the computer and spotify too??
UPDATE: the app has also removed local file music from my iPhone that was previously on it??

having the same issue. and nobody seems to have any answers......well real answers. if one more person tells me to re-download the app, i'm going to lose my friggin mind. this was all working a few months ago and then, for whatever reason, my local files just disappeared from my phone.
