Can't turn off shuffle play.

I have a premium account.  I recently disconnected my account from Facebook with the help of Spotify staff.  However, now I cannot shut off shuffle and all my albums play out of order.  There is a Shuffle button and clicking on it just shuffles the tracks again, it never toggles off.  I have tried logging out and back in and all kinds of other fruitless efforts.  Why is there no tech support number???  I've about had it with Spotify.

If you tap on the playing track at the bottom of the screen, is their a shuffle toggle on that screen that appears?

Hmmm,

now I have to go and turn off the shuffle mode each time I start playing a playlist or album. At least now I know where to find it. And I never want to use shuffle play anyway.

I hope next update would address this problem.

I had to do a premium trail before I could choose what I wanted to play but on my mums tablet you didn't have to be premium some explain this to me

Due to licensing agreements with the major music labels, they will not allow free Spotify users to choose any song they want to play in the phone app. The licensing agreements however do allow you to choose what song you want in the tablet app and the desktop app.

To choose any song you want in the mobile app, it requires a premium subscription.

I can't turn off my shuffle button. I found where to turn it off but it says to upgrade to premium. Please help me!!!!!

I have done this with my premium spotify subscription but the shuffle play symbol will not toggle off to white.

Can you try reinstalling the app?

If you have a premium subscription, you will be able to turn off shuffle in the iPhone app.

Also, when you are going to play a playlist, make sure you select the first song in the playlist. Do not click on the green shuffle play button or it will turn on shuffle.

Why do you need help? It's telling you clearly what you have to do: upgrade to Spotify Premium.

If you din't want to pay then you have to put up with shuffle play.

I am having the same problem. I have tried everything suggested in this thread. Pressing the shuffle icon on the track that is playing doesn't solve the problem for me. This has happened since I did a spotify update. There is a big green Shuffle Play bar under the artwork and i just can't get it to go away. I am using an i pad, not an i phone so there is no i buttone as others have suggested. Am about the throw the flippin i pas through the window. Please help!

At the bottom it has arrows that cross. If they are green then it means shuffle is on. To turn it off just press that button and shuffle will turn off.
