Can’t turn on shuffle on playlists

Can’t turn on shuffle on playlists

Hello,

 

Recently my friend bought the duo subscription (we used to share the same account) and now i have my own account, i added myself to all the playlists i listen to, but i can’t press shuffle on the playlists, i can shuffle while playing a song, just not playlists, I’ve tried reinstalling, clearing cache, logging out and in, but nothings seems to work, and i can’t find anything online about it. Thanks for posting here and providing a quick video to show us what's happening on your end.

I understand that you already tried reinstalling the app. However, I'd suggest a clean reinstall, as this is more thorough than a regular one and can help get rid of any cache that might be causing trouble. You can do that by following these steps.

Could you share the OS and Spotify version you’re using?

Also, did this start happening after any specific event, like updating the Spotify app or your OS?

i’m on version 8.9.90 and ios 17.6.1, I do not have this issue on my friend’s account, i do need to say this account is new.

Could you try logging out and then logging back in twice by following these steps? 

 

We know this sounds odd, but it's how the app forces a cache refresh.

yes, i tried this, but still it does not work

Hey @kevinhef!

Could you let me know if this happens with all playlists or just the ones saved from your friend’s account? You might also try unsaving the playlists and saving them again to see if that helps.

Lastly, have you tried using your account on a different device to check if the issue persists?
