Cannot listen music on the treadmill

Cannot listen music on the treadmill

I have problem in listening to the music on a threadmill if I use the iPhone connector provided to charge my iPhone. I do not have this type of issue at all if I use Jaybird Bluebuds X to listen to music while charging my iPhone on the threadmill; there is a option for me to choose the device channel. But today, I use a wired headphone to listen to music on the iPhone but it did not show me other device channel to choose. In the end, I ended up by disconnecting the iPhone connector provided on the treadmill so that I can listen to the music. So I would like to know if anyone has entered this type of issue, and how could I charge my iPhone on the treadmill while listening to music on a wired headphones?

So you connect the iPhone to the treadmill using the cable, start Spotify then plug headphones in and it doesn't play via the headphones?

Hi Peter,

I was listening to music on Spotify via the Sony wired headphones before stepping onto the treadmill for a run. The wired headphones was already plugged into my iPhone before I connected it to the iPhone connector for a charge. I know I will not be able to listen music for a while if I plugged in the iPhone connector provided by the Life Fitness treadmill as it will jump to use other device channel. So in order to listen to the right device channel, I will need to click on the volume icon and select the respective device channel. It was always like that in which I will be able to see the JayBird Bluebuds x on the device channel selection list before I sent back my JayBird Bluebuds x to the factory for a repair due to sweat issue. Now, I'm using the Sony wired headphones but there are no other device channel for me to choose when I plugged into the iPhone connector provided by the treadmill. So, I am wondering if this is an issue with Spotify and if anyone has any other solution in which I can charge my iPhone on the treadmill and listen to music on the wired headphones at the same time?
