Car bluetooth stopped showing song info or allowing me to control with car

Solved!

Car bluetooth stopped showing song info or allowing me to control with car

Spotify has always worked seamlessly with my vehicle (Honda Odyssey 2016). Yesterday it stopped. It now just shows "iPhone" on my screen display instead of displaying the track info, and I can no longer use my car steering wheel controls to skip tracks. The music still plays fine and I can skip tracks on the phone itself, but the display and the wheel controls are what's failing. I've tried disconnecting, resetting Spotify cache in app, and reconnecting the phone to the vehicle with no change.

Hey there,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community, and welcome :slightly_smiling_face:

Would you mind letting us know if you've already tried performing a clean reinstall of the app? This is often an overlooked step, but it can be helpful to get rid of any corrupted files that might be causing issues.

Also, does the same thing happen when you connect to another Bluetooth device?

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
