In this type of case, we'd first recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app on your mobile device to see if it makes any difference when connecting through CarPlay. You can do it by following the steps mentioned in this article. 

Also, would you mind connecting a different mobile device through CarPlay (using your own account) to see if the issue persists? If you don't have another one available, you can borrow one from a friend or family member to test it out. 

Lastly, it would be great if you could connect your device via Bluetooth or AUX to see if the album art loads properly.
