Crashing

Crashing

Spotify crashes very often, on my iPhone 3GS, my iPod (latest gen) and my iPad 1.

It makes listening to music very annoying, which I can't imagine is the point.

 

is this a common problem? When is a fix coming?

Hi Cronan,

 

You might want to check your App Store to see if there is an update for Spotify - we released one recently that should help resolve this. 

 

Also, to ensure you have enough memory to run the app, you could also make sure all apps are closed down correctly:

1. Double press the home button, this will bring up app icons.
2. Press one until they shudder and then use the red circle with the line through to close the app down.
3. Repeat this for any icons that show and you will have to scroll through them.
This closes them down correctly and stops your memory from being used.

i have iphone 3gswith latest o/s

i have update all my apps this morning

i have deleted all apps from mem

i have restarted my phone

and checked status

and yet spotify premium still will not load  with or without airplane mode on/off

 

 

 

i should add it will not even load
green screen for anano sec and then disapears

futher just realised i updated the app this morning on apple store

Is the cause the new updated version is less stable and ... usless?

if it isnt solved soon l will just close subscription

 downloaded the app for Iphone

 installed

 logged in using Facebook

 accepted terms and conditions

 MY personal playlists begin to load

 Crash - app closes.

I've had the same problems for months. Most especially with the latest update. Spotify don't seem to mind as long as they are taking your money. I've seen thousands of users reporting similar problems. You only have to read the app reviews on the apple istore to see how deep the problems run.

Most reputable companies would be looking to find a solution. Whilst there are large numbers of new users signing up, Spotify seem happy to be turning a blind eye to the problems experienced by many users.

Any movement on this for us growing band of disgruntled iPhone users?

I have an iPad Gen 1, constant crashing after latest app update, signing up for premium, closing all other apps, and turning off all Spotlight Search...  if your having crashing problems with the trial DO NOT BUY PREMIUM, you will have the same problems.

These guys seem to have no clue about how to fix this.

 

All the usual...

 

  • check for updates
  • close down other apps
  • delete and reinstall
  • etc 
  • etc
  • etc

 

They have no other answers. 

 

Until they can fix this total mess, vote with your wallet and cancel your premium subs. 'Premium'? What a joke.

 

I've reported this service to our governments consumer organisation. Spotify want your money, but can't/won't fix their crappy app

I have got the same problem with my Ipod touch. I think spotify should be fixing the problem right now. There are a lot of of same problems i have noticed. I do not think they want to dissapoint their users, bad publicity.... 🙂

 

 

 

Still having so many issues with Spotify crashing and taking forever to load. Ever since the change to the new UI, Spotify has been terrible on fourth gen iPod touches.

Also tried every possible "solution" and hasn't fixed anything. Just going to cancel my subscription.
