My Question or Issue

So there I was, minding my own business, scrolling through Spotify, when I noticed what I thought was a new playlist in the Made For You section of the front page. The playlist's name was "DJ". So I selected it, and it immediately ended the song and playlist I was currently listening to and instead a robot voice started yammering at me. I was then unable to pick back up where I'd left off.

I assumed "DJ" was a playlist, because everything else in Made For You is a playlist, and I was not pleased to find that selecting it had taken me out of the playlist I had been listening to. Maybe I'm alone in this, but I have several long playlists which I tend to listen to for days at a time. So being bounced out of them without warning is irritating to me.

Since "DJ" appears to be in Beta, I would suggest finding a way to warn people before this happens. Also if there's a way to opt out of the Beta I'd like to do that, because I have no interest in having a robot voice yell at me.

Hey @Luxembourg,

Welcome to the Community!

We really appreciate your feedback on the DJ feature and as we always strive to improve and offer better functions to our users, we'll make sure to pass the comments onto the right folks.

On another note, when you want to stop the DJ feature, just press stop, exit out of it, or hit play on another track, playlist, podcast, or audiobook and this should do the trick for you.

Should you need help with anything else, we're here 🙂

+1 - A number of times I've accidentally clicked on the DJ and it disrupted my listening experience when that wasn't my intention. I get that it's convenient to not have to click Play to start the DJ, but that's how every other playlist works.
