My Question or Issue

Go to the Settings->Storage page and click on the "Delete Cache" button.

Click on the "Delete Cache" choice on the dialog.

There is no apparent effect - the storage-available "progress bar" doesn't change, nor do the itemization of usage by "Other apps, Downloads, Cache, Free".  This is true after many tries and after deleting and reinstalling the Spotify app.

Also, it is not clear if Spotify's storage available display refers to overall iPhone storage or just Spotify's usage, because it mentions "Other apps" but does not correspond to the iOS overall Storage diagram (in the Settings->General->iPhone Storage page).

I have the same issue. My spotify storage settings page tells me I have 10gb of cached files, and hitting that “Clear cache” does nothing. It worked on my iPad though.

I’m on iPhone 12 mini, iOS 15.2.1

Hey there @Twixomatic,

Thanks for posting in the Community!

It's odd that you are unable to clear the cache for your app, but this could happen for various reasons. If this still occurs for you, we believe it's worthwhile to perform a clean reinstall of the app. The steps provided in this guide here are more thorough than the usual and ensure that no cached data will remain there to cause interference with the new instance of your app.

Hope this helps. Let us know how you get on.
