Don't want to sync ipod

Hi, is there a way to turn of sync?  When I plug in my ipod to charge it the sync dialogue pops up, but I don't want it.  Sorry if this has been asked a million times before, I couldn't find it...

You can remove offline devices from the Spotify website. Go to your account page, click Offline Devices, and remove your iPod.

Does that solve the issue?

Also, you  can open the iPod in iTunes and resync it with your library there - that will remove Spotify content and stop it from syncing in the future.
