Downloaded music became streamed again, big cellular data used

Downloaded music became streamed again, big cellular data used

I have premium account. I downloaded playlist and play them on the road, to avoid eating up too much of my data plan.

This morning I got a reminder from my carrier that not much of the monthly data quota is left. So I checked the reason.

Turns out the green downward arrows attached to many downloaded songs have been greyed out. There is no message or alert from Spotify telling me this song is no longer downloaded, Spotify just smartly stream it again.

Is this a bug or feature?

Hi @wbao,

it looks like a bug to me, but just in case, please try to log out and log in again, and if it doesn't work, reinstall the app.

Let me know if it helps!

Thanks for the reply. But it got worse...

After I logged out and logged in, my playlists are gone, instead, there are 3 playlists that I've never seen or saved--Axwell's party, DJ Snoopadelic...

Either my account is hacked or skynet is taking control of my playllist
