My Question or Issue
I have read many articles about echo devices disappearing from Spotify's device list but none of the solutions have helped.
My Echo won't appear in my device list anymore on both my phone and my laptop. I have done pretty much everything I can do but to no avail - clearing my Spotify cache and deleting the app, restarting my phone, laptop, and Echo, unlinking the service and linking it, checking that local network is toggled on on Spotify settings etc!
I have no idea why this is happening, on my device list I can see my flatmate's Google device and my Xbox, but not my Echo. If I ask her to play Spotify, she starts to play the last song that I played when I was connected via Spotify.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Edit: I have just discovered that even on my MacBook, when I play music from my phone, it does not appear on my MacBook - it allows me to play a completely different song simultaneously on my laptop and my phone from the same account.
**bleep** I’m glad it’s not just me!! Literally been trawling the internet for answers so I can get my daughters bedtime music streaming in her room… fingers crossed for a fix for us both soon 😩
Just happened to me too. All 8 of my echo devices disappeared from ios and android spotify apps.
PC web browser and browser on mobile devices still work though.....just not the native apps.
Same here but on Android Spotify. None of my Bluetooth devices are displayed anymore, also not my computer where Spotify is running alongside the phone and all Alexa music groups have disappeared but I can play Spotify through the Alexa app with the music groups (groups of Alexa devices in multiple rooms) but it's not displayed in the spotify app that I'm playing Spotify playlists through the Alexa app.
DEAR LORD it's not just me, been wasting an hour trying to solve this. Worked fine this morning. Can't see any Echo devices on my Windows PC, Mac, or Android phone. Been deleting and tinkering for hours.
I am having this exact issue! Down to needing to stream daughter’s bedtime music 😫

Use the browser version until they fix the app.
Looks to be fixed now.. Echo devices now showing up for me in the iOS app.
I think it was a bug that's now been fixed as it's all appearing fine again now! Glad I wasn't the only one!

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.
Some of you mentioned this has already been resolved, and your Alexa Echo devices are showing up on Connect now. If you're still having issues, try logging out, restarting the Spotify app and logging back in. I myself have an echo device and everything is working smoothly.
If the above doesn't help, send over the following details:
- Spotify version you have installed.
- Make/model and OS version of the devices you use Spotify and don't see the Echo device.
- Troubleshooting steps you've tried so far.
