Follow artist always should direct to artists page

Whenever I follow an artist and they appear in my artists tab it appears to arbitrarily link to either the artists actual page (listing their albums and such) or it gives you a list of songs.  I use the artists page to quickly go to an artist and then find the album I want to listen to and then just play that album.  By going to just a list of assorted songs it makes it impossible to achieve this unless I go to the artist in my saved list, click the '...' menu, click 'go to artist', and then go to the album.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the point of following an artist, but why wouldn't clicking the artist from your follow list ALWAYS do the same thing as the 'Go to Artist' link?

It's quite frustrating too because it makes no sense why most artists work the way it should, but some artists give you this weird assorted list.  Maybe some people prefer this alternative view, but I would like to be able to chose which view I should get when I follow an artist

as another note - because of these extra steps it basically means that if I am on the go and don't have much time between traffic lights to deal with this random choice of artist view that I basically ignore my follow list and just ALWAYS use the search screen to get to the artist I'm looking for...if this worked consistently it would actually make me utilize my follow list, which I would very much like to do

Drives me crazy as well. I just google searched this and saw your passage. Thought i may have had my preferences set incorrectly or maybe i followed the album instead of the artist, however not eithet. Totally agree it should just take you to their page, otherwise what's the point of the album tab???

If I browse my saved Artists list, and then select one of those artists, it will only show me the songs from that artist that I've downloaded (saved), instead of taking me to the Artist Page. So I click on an artist and instead of showing me the artist page that lists everything that artist has for me to listen to, it instead only takes me to the few songs or albums I've downloaded? Why? I didn't ask it to do this!

If I only wanted to see Sound Of Silver I would have searched my Album list not my Artist list. But maybe I want to see and choose from all the LCD Soundsystem albums (and singles!) available. So everytime I choose an artist from my saved Artists list I then have to open the list at the top right of my phone and choose Go To Artist page. It's infuriating. 

By god is there not a setting somewhere that can fix this? You know, something totally insane like CLICKING ON AN ARTIST TAKES YOU TO THAT ARTIST.
