Group Session - Listen on their own device option

My girlfriend goes out of town often due to the nature of her work. We discovered the group session option and thought it would be a cool way to listen to music with each other. I looked at a reply to a different question, and one of the moderators said that you can listen on your own device using the "Listen on your own device option" when the prompt to listen on your own device or the host device pops up. However, whenever she selects this option, it still only plays for me, the group host, and not for her. Is this a bug or is this how it's supposed to work.

Group Session feature is still in a beta stage, so you might find some bugs or things that might change throughout the time.


Are you trying to listen to music with your girlfriend using your mobile app? If not, Group Session is only available for the mobile app version, it won't work if you try to listen to music on Desktop, web, or TV app.

Thank you for the reply, yes I am using the mobile app and not the desktop app when trying the group session feature. Hopefully the bugs get fixed soon, any chance you know when they’ll come out with a new update?
