How can I go back to free Spotify?

Hi,

I signed up for Spotify in December last year. I was immediately charged a subscription fee, despite the 'free one month trial' for the premium account. How do I remove my premium account?

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your subscription management page (the cancel link is at the bottom).

Be sure when you are doing this you go the whole way to the confirmation screen to be sure your subscription has been cancelled. 

If you think you signed up using the free trial form, but where charged anyway then you could ask customer services for some kind of compensation. (You never get if you don't ask!) You will need to get in touch with the customer services team directly using the online contact form if you wish to do so.

If you get an automated email reply back directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.
