How do I turn off video "canvases" option is gone

How do I turn off video "canvases" option is gone

The option to turn off music video canvases used to be under the app ios - playback - canvas. That is no longer there. Did this move or is it completely gone? I'm often trying to concentrate with Spotify on and this is distracting. Sometimes I like to playlist so leaving the screen off is not a good workaround.

Edit: Seems to be under the new discover tab this is mostly happening. Is there a way to turn off videos for discover? It's easy to flip through these to find new tracks, but with the video on it's too distracting to do that and anything else. Plus these videos aren't often well thought out, just distraction eye candy. I know because I made them for my artist profile and have seen many. Gonna give people a seizure here. 🤯

Hi @eightbitape,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community.

This is expected behavior. At the moment's it's not possible to off the videos in the Discover tab. However this is still in testing so it's possible that it might change.

We hope that this cleared things up.

Take care!

**bleep** I’ve been looking EVERYWHERE for this option. Since my kids watched some scary stuff I had it turned off. Then I suddenly discovered it was on by default again and couldn’t be turned off anymore. And now there’s not just short sequences, but like longer videos too... 😞

Most video snippets are too short to enjoy but long enough to annoy. Video autoplay wastes bandwidth which can be costly in some networks. Only workaround in 2024 is pretending to have a poor connection. How to get rid of those videos?
