I can't get my ipod to sync with my spotify

I have an Ipod touch, and I'm trying to sync it to my spotify. When I googled the steps, it sent me to the spotify support page, and gave me a list of steps to complete. The very first one is plugging your ipod into your computer. It says that your ipod should pop up under the devices category in spotify. Mine isn't popping up at all! Can someone help me?

Hi, those instructions are for all ipods excluding the touch. The method for synching/downloading using the ipod touch is the same as for an iphone so follow the iphone sections in this and this FAQ and enjoy your music 🙂

When I connect my iPod to the computer to sync with Spotify it does not show up under devices. Why?
