I have restarted and deleted the app, but it still will not play a song.

It will not even show the album cover and the time of the song. When I turn up the volume it doesn't turn it up, instead it turns up my ringer. My app is the latest version

Hey @Hall94,

Thanks for reaching out on the Community! We'd love to help, we just need some more info.

Do you notice any difference if you clear stored cache in the app, and then log out and back in again? As odd as this may sound, this action will resync your account info.

Also, does the same thing happen if you connect your device to another network? For example, if you're currently on Wifi, you can try with 4G/5G.

Can you also let us know what device and version of the operating system you're using, along with the Spotify version? If possible, feel free to include screenshots or videos showing how things look like from your end.

Let us know how it goes. Cheers!

To answer the first question no. I have not tried with our WiFi yet. I have an iPhone 11 and my Spotify is version 8.8.88.
Thanks for helping!

Hey @Hall94,

Thank you for keeping in contact and for the shared info.

To continue investigating the behavior you're describing, would you mind checking on a different device (using your own account) to see if it makes any difference? If you don't have another one available, you can borrow one from a friend or family member to test it out.

It would also be great if you could have someone log in with their account on your device - such as a friend or a family member, to see if the issue persists. This will help us understand if it could be account-related or not.

Lastly, don't forget to include in your next response if trying with a different network connection makes any difference.

We'll be on the lookout.
