My Question or Issue

When I try to use use the cellular function on my watch to stream music and try to select my watch as the device, all that I see is the watch icon flashing and "connecting". No ability to play without being linked to my phone. When linked to my phone the watch app works fine.

 

I have followed all the guides on deleting the cache on my phone, the data, the app, the factory reset of the watch but still no change.

 

Bought a cellular Apple Watch SE for my wife this week, and her streaming works without an issue, no having to delete anything or mess about with factory resets.

 

All a bit frustrating really, no problems with phone-free streaming on Apple Music which I've got on a free trial, so not device related.

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

 

Streaming music on your watch washout the phone only works for one hour on Wi-Fi and it's not possible to stream via mobile data.
