I AM BEYOND FRUSTRATED!!!

I have added some local files (.mp3's converted from YouTube) and they will sync to my iPhone from my laptop, but when I try to play them from the phone, the song just flashes and doesn't even play a note.  I have been doing this for years and I know how to download & sync a file...there has not been a problem like this before.

- The song is NOT grayed out.  The song will play perfectly on the desktop but will not via phone. You press on the song and closes in less than a second.
- The 'Local Audio Files' button is toggled ON in Settings.
- I have moved file(s) to a new Source Destination folder and tried to re-sync etc.
- I have logged out of the apps on iPhone & Laptop.
- I have restarted both devices.

Like I said, I have done this the EXACT same way and previously not had this issue.
I rely on Spotify for some work activities and it seems I have to return to the community for help about once every 3 months.

Any ideas/solutions are GREATLY appreciated in advance!

Hi there @donkeylarry,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community.

We understand that you can play those files in your PC, however, files obtained by converting YouTube videos to .mp3 aren't officially supported, so we can't guarantee they'll work as expected.

If you need anything else, the Community is here for you.

Cheers.

Thank you for the follow-up but I have hundreds of files/songs that have been downloaded and added the EXACT same way that work the way they should whereas the recent ones do NOT.  The only files that will not play on phone are ones that seem to have been downloaded past a certain date.  So with no change made anywhere else, the issue is within the app/Spotify.

Again thank you but this is not any sort of solution.
