Link to "play on spotify" on Instagram leads to Apple Store

Everytime that someone shares a music on the stories of Instagram, where you can see the link on top saying "Play on Spotify",  I click on it and I am directed to the internet page of Spotify through Safari, and not the app (that I have instaled on my iPhone). It would be ok, but when I click again on the green button "Play on Spotify" to try to listen to the music, this leads me to the Apple Store?!

WHY!? I already have the app on my phone! 

What can I do to fix this so when I click on Instagram, it already opens the Spotify app that I have?

Hi there!

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps. I'd also recommend updating to iOS 12.1.1 🙂

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?
