My Question or Issue
My local files are not syncing to my iOS device. The apps are updated on desktop and mobile, mobile software is updated as well.
I have show local files enabled on desktop and mobile too. I have created a playlist on desktop, imported the local files and they show up. On desktop. Not on mobile. I’ve tried logging in more than a handful times to no avail, and I’ve consistently made sure both devices are on the same WiFi network. I have given Spotify the needed permissions through firewall as well.
I've followed those instructions and the problem persists.
You tapped the download button for the playlist that contains your local files but nothing happened?
Yes. It's been a couple days and unfortunately I'm still having the same issue. Downloading the playlist hasn't done anything for me, sadly.
Hey there @harukii,
Thanks for reaching out to the Community.
We'd recommend making sure that your phone has enough storage space available.
You could also try using a different internet connection to see if you notice anything new.
Let us know how it goes.
Hello,
My phone has around 65gb of storage free, and as I'm only trying to sync 15 files that shouldn't be an issue.
Unfortunately, trying out different network connections hasn't helped either. I have tried all networks that are available to me, plus connecting my pc to my cellular hotspot.
Hi @harukii,
Thanks for your reply.
If even after you've tried connecting both devices to a mobile hotspot WiFi, the files won't sync, we'd recommend you take a look at the metadata of the files themselves.
Make sure their names contain only letters from the standard English alphabet and don't include special symbols like ',`,*,&,% etc. You can also try to convert them into a different file format.
Let us know if that makes a difference.
