Local files added to a playlist, on iPhone issue

So I've added local files from my itunes into a created playlist in spotify (on my computer). However, when I want to play the playlist on my phone using the spotify app, it only includes music I have directly searched for from spotify, not including the itunes songs I have added. Would I only be able to listen to this playlist with mixed spotify searched songs/itunes songs on my computer? Or is there any way around this??

to listen to a song imported from your local files, you have to have your spotify on your computer opened and online at the same time while streaming on your phone. If you are a premium user, you can download the song/playlist on your phone as the app on your computer is opened which allows you to listen to the imported song without your computer. hope this has helped!

Could you explain the second part further? I'm a premium user, and have the itunes songs already downloaded (in my Apple Music library) on both my computer and phone, However, I have selected download both on my computer and phone and the specific songs from itunes still do not seem to show up on the spotify playlist on my phone. Maybe if you have screenshots?

these are the only screenshots i have at the moment. You said "I have selected download both on my computer and phone and the specific songs from itunes still do not seem to show up on the spotify playlist on my phone. " are you saying that after adding the song to a playlist from your computer, it does not show up on your phone? Are both devices simultaneously turned on at the same time? this is because both devices have to be turned on to allow the song to be "playable" on your phone. you can also go to setting and see if you have turned off "hide unplayable song" to see if maybe your phone and computer are synced. if the song is still "unplayable", maybe try playing around like adding the song to another playlist or saving it to "songs" and see if it shows up "playable" anywhere on your phone. if it does, you can just "add to playlist" from there. i hope this helps. feel free to ask more questions and if you can please share some screenshots as well 🙂
