My Question or Issue

When the player is available on the lock screen, anytime I tap to wake my phone, the player stops or resumes the currently playing song. The taps are nowhere near the play/stop button (I could tap on the time or my background but it would play/stop the song). Maybe something to do with iPhone's tap to wake function that's messing with Spotify?

Hi there!

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?

I've tried restarting the phone and reinstalling the app multiple times but to no avail.

 

My Spotify version is 8.5.55 and iOS version is 13.3 (17C54). Something that is maybe worth mentioning is that I also have an iPhone SE (the old one), same Spotify and iOS version, but this problem does not occur on that phone.

Could you try updating to iOS 13.4.1?

I've updated to latest iOS (13.4.1, took me whole day lol) but still the issue persists. Any ideas on what could cause this?
