Everytime my battery runs out and my phone switches itself off when I turn it back on the Spotify App has logged out and I loose all of my offline playlists other than the local files.
I have tried logging in with my username and password rather than facebook log in but the same thing happens.
This is obviously frustraiting as it means I have to resync the majority of my songs and i'm worried ill lose all my music if i'm away and unable to get internet access.
I have also removed the app and reinstalled it a couple of times but the same thing happens!
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Hey! Do you mind if we reset your offline devices? It'll mean needing to re-sync again, but it should fix the problem. Make sure you also don't have any cache-clearing apps installed on your phone too.
Love,
Spotify.
That's fine, thanks 🙂

Do I need to remove the app and install it gain?
No, that is something @Adam will have to do for you.
He should get a notification I tagged him in this post as a gentle reminder to do it (I will escalate this too incase someone else can pick it up before he is next around!).

My offline devices were reset and I redownloaded everything and it seems fine but as soon as my phone battery dies when I turn it back on I have to log into the app and everything other than my local files has gone again! This is really frustrating as without the offline files on my phone spotify is pretty useless to me. Should I try restoring the phone?
Hey!
Does this happen when you turn your phone off normally, without the battery dying?
Do you have any task-killing apps installed that could be wiping the playlists?

No as far as I'm aware it's just when the battery dies although I think it may have happened once when I restarted my phone. I do to have any task killing apps or anything like that and all my other apps seem to keep their data so it's seems to be a specific issue with spotify
I am determined to solve this problem and decided to restore my phone anyway. The problem still persists, strangely I notice when I first log back into the app for half a second or so the offline playlists have the downloaded symbol as if they are still there however a moment later these disappear and it is just local files availiable to me offline. When I check my usage under settings Spotify is still taking up a large amount of data so that leads me to believe the songs are still physically there but Spotify for whatever reason won't recogise them, maybe something is corrupted when the phone powers off?
I'm having the same issue. Phoen battery ran out last night and this morning all offline content has gone. Is there a fix?
Just out of interest, if you force quit Spotify so its not running at all then let your phone go dead do you get the same results?

Hi guys!
Thanks for all the info you've provided so far.
We're going to investigate this, so please let us know the following:
- iPhone model
- iOS version
- Spotify version
In the meantime, try force closing Spotify before your battery dies, or just make sure to turn off your phone before it dies completely.
Same issue. If the battery drains completely, you are taken to the sign in screen when you open Spotify. I'm pressing Sign in with Facebook button. Lists load, nothing offline and must re-sync.
- iPhone model - iPhone 5
- iOS version - 7.0.6
- Spotify version - 0.9.3.212
