Losing connection between iPhone and MacBook Pro

Solved!

Losing connection between iPhone and MacBook Pro

Working on a MacBook Pro (MacOS Catalina), 2020 and iPhone SE. Spotify works great on both devices, however, I'm using the iPhone to control Spotify on by MacBook. I connect them by opening Spotify on the MacBook and then the iPhone syncs with the computer and everything is fine. I'm teaching a class, however, and using Powerpoint slides in conjunction with the music. If I don't play something for awhile, the iPhone loses connection with the computer. The only way I can reconnect is by closing the powerpoint and finding the next song on Spotify on the MacBook Pro. I wish it was easier to reconnect my iPhone with my computer so I didn't have to disrupt my lecture to reconnect Spotify to my phone. Can you help?

Hey @RockDoc,

Thanks for reaching out to us and welcome to the Community 🙂

We'd suggest you give these steps a go and run a clean reinstall on both devices. That way you can make sure the app is up-to-date and the cache is not causing any issues.

It's also a good idea to try with another network to see if the issue persists.

Tip: Keep in mind that Spotify is for personal, non-commercial use only.

Keep us in the loop! We'll be right here if you have any further questions.
